Jamboree in Wythenshawe Park!

On Saturday 2nd June from 10.30am we will have our series of gezebbos erected to serve refreshments, a BBQ and generally be there to chat with the thousands expected to attend this Jubilee event, in Wythenshawe Park.

We want to assure the community of our commitment to serve the families around us in Christian ways. We offer ministry to all ages and this is our opportunity to tell those attending this great occasion. Hope you see you there!

40Days in the Word

Have used this recently and gladly recommend this excellent material.

We had a series of six messages, all asking good questions regarding the honesty and reliability of the Bible for today.

We were able to organise twelve XL groups for these six weeks and benefited many people!

Women In Ministry Weekend

A conference will be held this May to celebrate, inspire and encourage women in ministry. This has been organised to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first woman ordained to the Christian Ministry in the UK, Olive Winchester, on the 11th May 1912. The event will take place on the weekend of the 11-13th May, 2012 at Sharpe Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Parkhead, Glasgow. Just click the “import Daily Bible Readings” link underneath the “Update” logo on the left-hand side of this webpage. If you are using a Smartphone, this should prompt a message for you to import to your calendar on that device.

If using a PC, please right-click the link and choose “Save target as…”. This will download a file which can then be imported into the calendar software you use.

These readings are the ones we use as part of our daily reading plan which are also published in the Update sheet each week, taking us through the entire New Testament by the end of the year.

As a church we express our thanks to Dick & Mary-Ann Eugenio for their partnership and fellowship over the past three years. Dick has worked a lot with our young people and assisted often in our ministry in church.

Returning home to the Philippines, we will miss them both; we do however, pray that God will bless their work and especially Dick as he takes up the post of Professor at Asia Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary.

Dick, Mary-Ann and baby daughter Heloise, leave at the end of the first week of January. Bon Voyage!

Autumn District Newsletter Published

The Autumn edition of Together, the British Isles South and North District Joint Newsletter, has been published.

It makes an interesting read and is a good way to find out what has been going on at Nazarene churches throughout the British Isles. It includes a review of the Summer Youth Camp and some important dates for the next 12 months and beyond. Enjoy!

New Tuesday Diner

After a short break, our new Diner commences again on Tuesday 4th October. we run from noon until approximately 4pm (meals served until 1.45pm).

There is a choice of food available from the menu at very reasonable prices: Starter 50p; Main course £1; Dessert 50p. This is a not-for-profit venture to serve the Brooklands community.

A film is also shown in the large youth room during the afternoon (concludes at 4pm). All are welcome to come along and invite a friend!
